Dubai, the Manhattan of the desert
With its innate sense of service and a taste for extravagance and leisure activities, Dubai is endowing itself with the means to become one of the world’s most spectacular venues for pleasure, family and business tourism.
Dubai is seething with activity ; the most audacious skyscrapers are being built at record speed. The malls only understand shopping in its XXL version. The city has the stamp of a global city. Business districts are springing up, the entire world has made an appointment to meet up in this city dedicated to the cult of excessiveness, as witnessed by the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest tower soaring to a height of 828 metres. A laboratory for the latest architectural trends, Dubai can boast of having built Palm Islands, an artificial peninsula in the shape of palm tree : a real achievement, built on the sea. Many airlines fly to Dubai from France. The latest, Pegasus, has just launched scheduled flights from Paris, Saint-Etienne and Marseille.
