Engel & Völkers : launch of a flagship in Paris

Specializing in sales of high-end properties, the Engel & Völkers group pursues its development and is preparing to open a new agency on the elegant Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré. Interview with Alexis Caquet, President of Engel & Völkers France.

Founded in Hamburg in 1977, Engel & Völkers has won recognition as a world leader in prestige real estate. Active in 35 countries, the group covers France from Paris to the Côte d’Azur, and is preparing to open a new agency in the capital.

“This new address at 170 rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré in the prestigious 8th arrondissement will be an iconic showcase for Engel & Völkers,” explains Alexis Caquet. “With a surface area of 420 m² and a 30-metre façade, this agency on two floors will not only accommodate our advisors, but also become our head office in France. Being close to the sales force is very important to me, and it is also a way of being responsive to adapt quickly to the reality of the terrain.

The Engel & Völkers France network currently has 14 teams in Paris, each one expert in a specific arrondissement : “Our mid-term development foresees the opening of several more sales points, especially in the capital. Our goal is to weave a tight grid, to be present in each prized residential arrondissement, and offer our clientele premium service. Assistance highly appreciated, especially by our foreign clients. With a worldwide network of over 16,000 advisors, our strength lies in synergy between different countries. One sale out of every three in Paris involves a foreign clientele”.

On the subject of the Parisian market, Alexis Caquet points out : “The real estate sector has been faced by some challenging years. I prefer to concentrate, however, on the future, especially as we are seeing more positive signs. Since September, we can confirm a net rise in activity, the market is back on track, and we are posting a rise of 23 % in new demands, reactivated acquisition projects, and a rise of 14 % in visits. 2025 looks very promising. Added to which, the very positive effects of the Olympic Games are beginning to be felt. They roused real enthusiasm, internationally. Paris thus occupies a prominent place on the global scene”
