Wellness and slimming

It is never too early to prepare for summer, or simply treat yourself to a relaxing break. On the programme, a session at the spa, followed by a low-calorie lunch.

A spa always feels like a haven, a cocoon of well-being where we all feel as if we are enjoying a unique experience. But what about the setting ?... In Monaco, the Willow Stream Spa is on the sixth floor of the Fairmont Monte Carlo : “Willow” evokes physical strength and flexibility of the mind, “River” the energizing voyage of life. The view is breathtaking, and at lunchtime, one swoons over a Bento Box in appetizing colours. Chef Maryan Gandon proposes three versions, the Earth, Sea or Garden. Composed of locally-grown produce, organic and ecological, these little trays are characterized by taste as well as creativity. Delicious and healthy dishes such as a fillet of grilled chicken, grapefruit salad, or a steamed fillet of cod with plain vegetables, soya and pepperoni, or vegetarian nems with sucrine and soya sauce. Also in the Principality, Les Thermes Marins are now looked upon as an institution. In this temple of replenishment, you can opt for “Monte-Carlo Marine” or “Cocooning” days... A choice, therefore, between the remineralizing and relaxing effects of thalassotherapy for the first, gentle care treatments for the second. Both topped off by lunch at the restaurant “L’Hirondelle”, overlooking the Mediterranean, with tasty flavours on the market-fresh or low-calorie menus.

A short walk from the Croisette, the spa called Les Thermes Marins de Cannes has its own restaurant, “Le Bio”. As for treatments, Anne Sémonin aromatherapy is for all those with a fondness for authenticity and effectiveness. On the menu, 100 % active anti-wrinkle care, personalized phyto-aromatic treatments..., also proposed for men. Looking for a “bio-esthetic” approach ? Docteur Hauschka treatments are based on natural products, selected for their healing properties. Back in the kitchen, Reynald Thivet focuses on a cuisine based on seasonal produce, on the theme “You are what you eat…”. Directly inspired by Japanese culinary traditions, his Bento Boxes offer a choice of draining, slimming, toning and anti-oxidant properties. Very sensible, but not devoid of charm and originality : velvety chestnut soup and carpaccio with soy milk, “aumônière” of salmon, shreds of crab with fresh coriander… Nestling in the region around Mougins, the Royal Mougins Golf Resort offers a peaceful, countrified atmosphere. In addition to traditional treatments, the spa invites you to enjoy a very special day, in the form of a package. You choose your treatment, a work-out session (Power Plate, Kinesis Wall or Pilates) or “Iyashidôme” (a hydro-massage bath), and recover from your emotions at the restaurant “Le 18”, with a starter and main course or main course and dessert.

After a care treatment, there’s nothing like a Bento Box dreamt up by a talented chef. Those proposed by Maryan Gandon are odes to the earth, the sea and the garden. To be enjoyed without moderation.
