Joining up with the chic CdeC brand for children’s ready-to-wear directed by Cordelia de Castellane, the Hôtel InterContinental Paris Le Grand is proposing a small Christmas suitcase, a little teddy bear - the hotel’s mascot - and a jigsaw puzzle. Until next May, the bar at Le Bristol will show all the Champion’s League matches in a cosy, elegant setting. A cocktail signed Maxim Hoerth is on the programme in the colours of each team, with chic tapas with foie gras, smoked salmon, king crab and gambas served at half-time. The palatial Bristol Hotel in Paris is embracing the cause of the Ninoo association which works to bring happiness to autistic children. Every quarter, "Carte BLanche" evenings will be held in the bar, with a personality creating an original cocktail in collaboration with Head Barman Maxime Hoerth, "Meilleur Ouvrier de France". A great fan of travel and botany, Prince Roland Bonaparte built the largest private herbarium in the world : 2,500,000 samples representing almost 100,000 species. In 1896, he installed the collection in the magnificent private mansion he had had built at 10 avenue d’Iéna in Paris. Home since 2010 to Le Shangri-La, it is perfectly natural that the hotel pays tribute to its founder by creating each season a collection of original cocktails based on plants and vegetables. Until February 7th, 2016, for the duration of the exhibition devoted to Andy Warhol at the Museum of Modern Art in Paris, the Meurice Hotel is paying homage to the "Pope of Pop" by proposing a Pop Art package comprised of one night for two guests with American breakfast, two lunches or dinners in Le Dali with hamburgers and pop "choux", the catalogue and two tickets to visit the exhibition entitled "Unlimited". From 2 to 5 p.m. on October 31st, the Marriott Champs Elysées will take on the appearance of a haunted house with tea-time and entertainment on the theme of Halloween. 37 year-old chef David Bizet from Normandy is well-known for winning the trust of a palatial hotel. He has just set his signature to the new menus for La Galerie, the star-rated restaurant at the Four Seasons George V. To prolong the summer until the end of September, Le Royal Monceau Raffles Paris proposes a sunny break with its “Pic-Chic”. This refined country-style formula consists of a gastronomic picnic with a vintage label from the prestigious house of Champagne Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin and a menu prepared by chef Laurent André : green asparagus soup, cold fillet of beef with Parisian-style green bean salad, a gourmet club sandwich, strawberries Gariguette”, and a box of 7 Pierre Hermé macaroons. The new menus at Le Safran and the Purple Bar at the 5-star Hôtel du Collectionneur bear the culinary stamp of the new Chef, Joël Veyssière. His sincere cuisine aims to reflect the richness of French gastronomy thanks to its use of the best possible ingredients, carefully selected : carrots from Créances, asparagus from Les Landes, Saint-Jacques scallops from Erquy… Epicureans are in seventh heaven. Throughout October, the Bristol Hotel is exhibiting outstanding Art Deco pieces created at the time or reinterpreted by graduates of the Ecole Boulle. On the occasion of the 300th anniversary of the death of Louis XIV, the Hôtel de Vendôme invites its guests to re-live the sumptuousness of the Age of Enlightenment through its programme “From Versailles to Place Vendôme”. Chef Josselin Marie has come up with an audacious menu, re-visiting recipes served at the court of Versailles. Perched a short walk from the Sacré Cœur since 1911, the Terrass’’ Hôtel, nestling in a century-old building, has just been treated to a total makeover. The result is more spacious rooms (92 instead of 99) and interior architecture entrusted to the Atelier Jérôme Verzegnassi, known for its subtle blend of comfort and esthetics, noble materials, contrasting colours and finishing touches. Starting from September, on every first Thursday of the month, the restaurant “La Bauhinia” will pay a festive tribute to vegetables ! This very feminine new cocktail has been dreamt up by William Oliveri, head barman at Le Meurice, to celebrate the palatial hotel’s 180th anniversary. In charge of the Bar 228 since 1992, the talented mixologist has concocted a delicious and very colourful cocktail based on wheat vodka, juicy apples, Williams pears and grenadine.
