"Quartet" is a project of four individual, detached houses located in the foothills of the Serra de Tramuntana, Mallorca's UNESCO-protected mountain range, dotted with picturesque villages and spectacular scenery.
What makes this development special is the choice of renowned professionals for each of the homes. They form part of a complex, but are totally unique and different from the rest, completely escaping from the concept of urbanisation. Their privileged location allows us to enjoy 360 degree views, allowing us to observe the sea as well as the fantastic mountain, the forests of Sa Extremera and the plantations of the surrounding villages. The villa is designed around an access designed to function as a link that connects the three fundamental areas of the house: the bedrooms, the living room and the kitchen area. In this way, each zone can exist independently, increasing the level of comfort and liveability for its users, with porches inspired by typical Mallorcan architecture between each area.
INTERIOR
Materials and light combine to create rooms full of lifeDiscreet yet select spaces enrich your moments. Your own oasis within an oasis. The spacious living room is dominated by an imposing fireplace built into a dividing wall. Huge sliding windows in the living room magnify the relationship with nature. With living spaces so connected to the natural environment, your connection to the island will be absolute. Warm, natural tones are used in the materials to convey a unique sense of livability.
ENVIRONMENT
The house's connection with nature creates a sense of tranquillity and peace, a privileged viewpoint over a unique area of Mallorca. The design breaks down the traditional barriers between the exterior and the interior. The use of noble and local materials gives the house a strong sense of belonging. Eating outdoors is a pleasure with the house's wise mix of light and shade.
