Why do people buy art like paintings by Pablo Picasso, Jackson Pollock, Edvard Munch and Jean-Michel Basquiat, or statues from Alberto Giacometti for a lot more than 100 000 000€ or even a Ferrari 250 GTO for over 40 000 000€ ? Obviously, because they can do it and they afford it, but usually and most importantly, because each piece of art is totally unique, it fascinates its owner and makes him proud of owning it. And their uniqueness prepares it as well as an investment.
