Villa La Cala is a quaint little villa on the Mediterranean (although its not so little as it has 139 m2 of internal, usable space) right on the coast that is set among 4645 m2 of wonderfully maintained olive groves and yet still only a 10 minute walk to the quaint fishing village of Ampolla. Not only does the finca enjoy seaviews from the second floor with the salt-laden smell of the Mediterranean wafting in the air but the property is surrounded by lush gardens where flowers and vegetables do very well in the Meditteranean sun. Located within walking distance of Ampolla, the finca has separate vehicle access through automatic gates. The house was built in 1983 but has been extensively renovated and modernised. It has an open plan kitchen with kitchen island that leads onto a dining and large living area with a separate utility room and bathroom with shower. The living area leads through French doors onto an enormous, shaded patio area with different nooks and crannies to relax in. On the second floor, there are two good sized bedrooms plus an alcove bedroom, serviced by a large, modern bathroom. One of the bedrooms has its own little balcony with lovely seaviews. The property is separated from the finca by an elegant wall and metal gate that gives the patio and covered terrace a sense of privacy. The villa is connected to electrical mains but has an extensive solar installation which means that the electricity bills are at a minimum. It is also connected to the municipal water supply and has a roof system that gathers water from the rain and funnels it into a deposit of some 16,000 liters.
If one had to summarize the characteristics of this property, it is that the villa enjoys the privacy and charm of a rural setting but is nevertheless within walking distance of the shops, beaches, restaurants and facilities of the village of L'Ampolla.
