Majestic property located on the cusp of a cliff in the district of Es Cubells, Sant Josep de sa Talaia on the island of Ibiza.
Architecture based on the Mediterranean tradition. The villa of 650 sqm, is built on a plot of 20,000 sqm.
Its architecture is based on the Mediterranean tradition.
It covers a SSE 180-degree panoramic view of the island, from Cala Llentrisca to Las Salinas, in front of Formentera island, which is 10 nautical miles away.
Indoors we can find some unique artwork of great artistic value.
In the village we find a typical 19th-century Ibizan chapel, which offers daily worship, and three restaurants serving traditional food of the area. The nearest coves, only minutes away, are: Cala Llentrisca, Cala Es Cubells, Cala Ses Boques, Cala d‘Hort, Cala Jondall and Cala Porroig. In a ten-minute ride we reach Sant Josep de sa Talaia, a town where we can find all services, and in a fifteen-minute ride we can reach the Ibiza airport. Distances are perfect to enjoy the island far from de crowds and, last but not least, to allow ourselves to relax on the island.
Opening doors at Es Bosc involves caressing lavender while walking in the fields, and plunging into the waters of Es Cubells bay, through a 180-degree viewpoint of Formentera island. Sheltered by a native pine and juniper forest, the road is flanked by three of the six arbours in the property. On the top of a cliff, the highest view of the Mediterranean Sea leads to the main building, built on living rock, which brings together the state-of-the-art and traditional architecture of two Balearic towers. Its infinity pool melts with the waters of the Mediterranean. The deep colours of dusk and dawn are in harmony with the produce that is tasted in its outdoor and indoor lounges and dining rooms, with only two peace protagonists: silence and nature.
Entering through the impressive 16th-century doors, we begin an evocative journey under the 13th-century Mudejar coffered ceiling and its skylight, which bestow the main room of a magical aura to relax and unwind. It is decorated by singular pieces, such as a collection of Coptic crosses, a pair of 18th-century wardrobes from the reign of Philip V or a chest collection, which includes a piece listed in the Patrimonio Artístico Nacional (Spanish artistic heritage). The old-stone, two-sided fireplace separates the first room from a magnificent antique wooden library imitating the choir stalls of the dynasty Trastamara which may be visited at the Madrid Archaeological Museum. If we keep walking, we will enter a unique kitchen, enhanced with worktops made of polished stone original from the island and equipped with high range, state-of-the-art household appliances. The property is also equipped with an osmosis plant that turns tap water (hard and safe) into water suitable for human consumption. We end the visit entering the Balearic towers where the master bedroom is located, with a separate walk-in closet and a separate jacuzzi through which the light and the sound of the sea penetrate every morning.
