The property enjoys an impressive location in the Ria de Villaviciosa Nature Reserve, making it a haven for birdwatchers and nature lovers. Nestled in a residential area of private villas, it is built on a mature private garden that occupies a very well-used plot of 5,000 square meters. Of this space, 1,250 meters can be segregated to build an independent villa or a group of apartments in order to diversify and expand the existing accommodation offer.
Currently, the hotel offers 11 double rooms, all with private bathrooms and central heating. The practical design, distributed on two levels, consists of four double rooms on the ground floor, six on the upper floor and a spacious suite, each with a balcony or terrace. The common areas, including the reception/living room with a wood-burning stove/fireplace, lead to the glazed dining room. The morning sunlight floods the breakfast room, strategically located on the east side, with capacity for approximately 40 people and with direct access to the garden. There is a private parking for around 16 vehicles.
The hotel is equipped with a spacious industrial kitchen, guest bathrooms, laundry, central heating service room, a large basement (which serves as a multipurpose room) and communicates with the kitchen area, with more toilets, a storage room and even a cider press area.
In addition, there are two INDEPENDENT BUILDINGS: a ground floor house, ideal for the accommodation of the managers, with two bedrooms, a bathroom and a kitchen, in front of which there is a terrace, an orchard and the possibility of housing chickens and other animals, if desired. The granary or breadbasket has been transformed into a diaphanous, loft-style home.
The farm has two access gates from the main neighborhood road where there is ample public parking and space to turn a bus without problem. The town chapel and the neighborhood house are just a few steps away. Given its fantastic coastal location in the center of Asturias and its house-restaurant atmosphere, this property is undoubtedly an ideal year-round business with potential that can be adapted to various concepts, catering to the growing demand of an international clientele, especially during the low and mid-season. Villaviciosa is a town that is easily accessible by car on well-maintained roads, less than ten minutes away, and the charming historic port of Tazones is about 8 kilometers away. In front of the hotel, there is a private nautical club with a restaurant, swimming pool and tennis. The El Puntal marina, which offers kayak rental and is within walking distance, has 2 more restaurants and 2 beaches that enjoy impressive sunsets.
There is an ongoing project for a bike path that will connect the town of Villaviciosa with El Puntal. Until then, both the town and the port of Tazones are accessible on foot directly from the hotel through the hills, along a picturesque route designated "Carlos V Route - Villaviciosa-Tazones".
The public bus service from Villaviciosa has a stop about 200 meters from the hotel; there is also excellent taxi service in the area. The town with all the amenities is a 10-minute drive away, Gijón is just over 25 minutes away, Oviedo is 45 minutes away and Oviedo airport is a pleasant 50-minute drive away.
